Greece Tourist, student & Business Visa Checklist

There are many types of visas are available for Greece - such as Tourist, Business, Transit, etc. holidayhavenventures.com provides consultancy support for Tourist & Business visas only.

Visa Procedure:

There is no Embassy of Greece in Bangladesh. But The Embassy of Italy of Bangladesh is handling the C category short-term visas of Greece from Bangladesh. But The Embassy of Italy in Dhaka has appointed VFS Global as an outsourced partner to facilate visa applications. Applications are to be submitted on a walk-in basis and applicants need to be present in person during visa application submission.

1. Tourist Visa (Schengen / Short-Stay)

Documents Checklist

• Proof of civil status (if applicable): e.g. marriage certificate, children’s birth certificates. uoa.gr+1

Visa Fees (Tourist)

• For Bangladeshi applicants (via VFS / Greece Embassy / Travel agent service): approx BDT 10,350 for adults. Vacation Tours

2. Student Visa (Long-Stay / National Visa Type D)

Documents Checklist

• Fully filled & signed long stay visa application (Type D). Mediterranean College+1

• Passport (as above: valid, blank pages, etc.). Mediterranean College+1

• Recent passport-size photos. Mediterranean College

• Letter of acceptance from the Greek institution, duly recognized and licensed. Mediterranean College+1

• Proof of payment of tuition or enrolment fees (or at least initial payment). BSBI+1

• Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses, study, and return/repatriation. Mediterranean College+1

• Medical fitness certificate. Mediterranean College+1

Visa Fees (Student)

• Standard fee: €80 for many student visas (for EU long-stay entry visa) in some cases. uoa.gr

• For Bangladesh / via Greek mission / VFS etc: fees differ; in one listing for student visa for Greek nationals (for Bangladesh) shown as €73 + extra service / bank charges. gov.in

3. Business Visa

Documents Checklist

• Visa application form, completed and signed. mofa.gov.bd+1

• Invitation letter from the business counterpart in Greece (if applicable). mofa.gov.bd+1

• Recommendation letter from Chamber of Commerce / local business authority. mofa.gov.bd

• Proof of business ownership or business license / trade license. Vacation Tours+1

• Proof of financial solvency of the company or individual. Balances, bank statements. Vacation Tours

• Travel itinerary, hotel bookings, return ticket. Vacation Tours+1

• Insurance, etc., if required similarly to tourist visa. (Often same medical/travel insurance).

Visa Fees (Business)

• May be same as tourist visa (Schengen short-stay) if business visa is short stay. — roughly €60 in many cases. Schengen Protect+1

• For longer business or multiple-entry visas, or national visa lengths, fees may be higher or different.

Processing Time

• Similar to tourist visa: possibly 15-30 working days, depending on complexity. com+1

4. Other / Common Notes

• All visa fees are non-refundable even if visa is refused. Mediterranean College+1

• All documents not in English or Greek must be translated, and sometimes notarized. Vacation Tours+1

• The Greek Embassy in Dhaka / Bangladesh may require applicants go via VFS or external providers. Use official channels.

• Biometrics (fingerprints) may be required; ensure no cosmetic hindrance (e.g. mehndi).

• The finger must be free of “MEHEDI or any other color” when facing biometrics at the embassy / Application center.

* Ques: How many countries should I visit before applying for this country ?

Ans: Although there is no restrictions regarding country visits but we recommend you to at least visit 2-3 countries before applying.

* Ques: How much balance should I have in my bank account?

Ans: There is no minimum or maximum limit for bank balance. However, there should be a consistency of you transactions. Your bank account must reflect that you have the ability to bear your travel cost and you have enough financial ties to return back to your country.

* Ques: My education qualification is low, can I apply for visa?

Ans: In case of tourist visas, there is not education qualification requirement. Anyone with any educational qualification may apply.

* Ques: My visa application has recently been refused. When will I be able to apply again?

Ans: There is no restriction or time limit on reapplication if anyone’s visa has been refused. However, we would recommend you to apply again at least after a certain period of time.

* Ques: Can you arrange invitation for me? Will it be beneficial for me if I get an invitation?

Ans: Not mandatory and we cannot arrange invitation for you. Invitation is only beneficial for an applicant, if it has been sent from his or her family members or close friend. In any other cases, having a hotel booking is enough to prove your accommodation arrangement during your stay in that respective country.

* Ques: If I apply along with my family, will the chances of my visa acceptance increase?

Ans: Although visa acceptance or refusal totally depends on applicant’s profile, applying with family may increase your chances in certain countries. For example: in case of Schengen or UK visa, applying along with family increases your visa acceptance chances. On the other hand, applying with family for Australia or Canada may decrease your chance of getting the visa.

* Ques: Do you provide any guaranty for visa?

Ans: No. We do not provide any guaranty for visa. Acceptance or refusal of any visa application will depend on applicant’s profile. However, we will prepare your file in a professional manner so that the embassy can get a clear reflection of your profile.

* Ques: Are Embassy visa fee and service charge refundable?

 Ans: No. Both are non- refundable.
