Mexico Tourist & Business Visa Checklist
Planning to explore the cultural charm of Mexico or attend business meetings in one of Latin America’s most vibrant economies? To ensure a smooth visa application process, please review and prepare the following required documents carefully.
- Visa Application Form
- Duly completed Mexico Visa Application Form (typed or handwritten in capital letters).
- Must be signed and dated by the applicant.
- All information must match your passport details exactly.
- Valid Passport
- Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of intended travel.
- Must have a minimum of two blank visa pages.
- Photocopy of the bio-data page (information page) is required.
- Passport-size Photographs
- Two recent color photos (not older than 6 months).
- Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, white background, full-face view, no glasses or headgear.
- Cover Letter
- Tourist Visa: A personal cover letter stating the reason for travel, travel dates, itinerary, and assurance of return.
- Business Visa: A letter from the employer or business organization describing the purpose, duration, and responsibility of expenses during the trip.
- Proof of Financial Means
Provide any of the following recent documents:
- Original bank statements for the last 3 to 6 months (with bank seal).
- Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last two assessment years.
- Salary slips of the last 3 months (for employed applicants).
- Trade license or business registration certificate (for self-employed individuals).
- Employment or Business Proof
- Employed: No Objection Certificate (NOC) or leave letter from the employer.
- Self-Employed: Trade license, business registration documents, or company profile.
- Students: Bonafide certificate and NOC from the educational institution.
- Travel Itinerary
- Confirmed round-trip air ticket booking.
- Detailed itinerary mentioning day-by-day travel plans, meetings, or business schedules.
- Accommodation Proof
- Hotel booking confirmation or
- Invitation letter from a host in Mexico (if staying with family or friends), mentioning address and contact details.
- Invitation Letter (For Business Visa)
If traveling for business purposes:
- Official invitation letter from the Mexican company clearly stating the purpose of the visit, duration, and nature of business.
- Letter must be on company letterhead with signature and contact details.
- Attach a copy of the inviter’s company registration or ID proof in Mexico.
- Travel Insurance
- Valid travel and medical insurance covering the entire stay in Mexico.
- Minimum coverage of USD 50,000 for emergency medical or hospitalization expenses.
- Proof of Residence
- National ID, utility bill, or local residence permit showing your current residential address.
- Visa Fee Payment

- Applicable visa fee (non-refundable) to be paid at the time of submission.
- Attach the payment receipt with the application file.
- Estimated amounts. Actual cost in BDT may vary based on bank/transfer fees and the exact USD/BDT conversion rate at the time of payment.
- Appointment & Submission
- Schedule an appointment with the nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate.
- Attend the interview (if required) with all original documents and photocopies.
- Additional Supporting Documents (If Applicable)
- Copies of previous visas (especially Schengen, US, Canada, or UK).
- Marriage or birth certificates for dependent or family visit applicants.
- Trade fair or conference invitations for business travelers attending events.
